Can the Advent T3 ignition be used on a 2004 XLT1200?

I am under the impression that the ignition on the GP1200R and the XLT1200 are the same as well as the engine, thus the Advent T3 model 1290 which is designed for the GP1200R should work fine in the XLT, anyone try, or know for sure?

    Thanks.
