    Reed valve cage 66e/66v

I am replaceing reed valves and front cage on a 66v engine. I purchased a used cage from a 66e engine and found it to be slightly smaller inside. The Riva Stuffer won't fit.

The cages are suppose to be the same? Reeds fit and mounting hole line up.
I am considering machening stuffer slightly to fit cage. Any ideas?

No 66E cages are different, than 66V cages. You would be better off finding a 66V cage or a set of 1300 60T cages.

Bill, Is there any advantage to the 60T cage, is it larger?

    Re: Reed valve cage 66e/66v

The 1300 cages are basically the same as the 1200 cages with the exception of the reed back stops which are slotted in the 1300 cages. This allows them to flow easier than the 1200 cages. My prefference when running OEM cages.

Would the 1300 60T cages work with Riva Stuffers and Boyesen pro-128 reeds. The engine is a stock SBT replacement engine. I have had the carbs worked over, needles and seat, pop off valves, choke valves removed and set up for dual feed fuel lines. Fuel tank sender has been modified for dual feed to carbs.

I mostley ride with newer and faster bikes so it works hard to keep up.

Is there a performance increase with a set of 60T cages?

The 66v cages I have have been through alot of engines in the past few years and replacing them all would not be a bad idea.

What will a set of 60T cages cost me?
