    Fizzle XS I/C Vent Question

Bought a Fizzle intercooler for a guy on here. Msut be a early model as it doesnt have a vent line, only the in and out ports. Do I need to drill and tap the front for a vent line? I'm assuming this would be to force all the air out of the I/C. If I drill the front block, is there a risk of drilling into and damaging the coil?

If you can put it in a drill press, do it and go slowly...If not, still go slowly...Use a small bit to see the depth, then you'll know how far to drill for the next size...

Once you have drilled the first small hole and gauged the depth to the core, put a piece of tape around the drill bit at the point where the bit will be deep enough as you go up in size.

My advice is don't drill past 1" depth! Try starting with 3/4" deep.

    The vent is not required.

Not required but many people have noted RPM gains of 50+ and less heat fade.

I advise drilling and tapping for 1/4" pipe thread then getting a 1/4" NPT x 1/4" hose barb fitting and running 1/4" hose to a pisser or T it back into the exhaust cooling.

Thanks, I went ahead and drilled at tapped it, then ran it to a pisser. I can see it helping by helping to get all the air pockets out of the I/C.
