Yamaha Blaster ll 1200 build
So I picked up a Blaster ll from 98GTI, installing a 1200 Yamaha engine in it , which I also picked up from 98GTI, I am beginning to sense a pattern here lol.
First order of business, the seat was cracked open so I removed the hump shaved the seat down to better foam and recovered it.
Next up we need more airflow, stock intake tube isn't going to cut it, stock tube was removed and replaced with the intake tubing off of a 1100 Waveventure.
Next on the list , I want to use this for freestyle, so I need trim, I retrofit a quicktrim from a Waveraider 700, all the waveraider cables will work, the Blaster ll also has the tunnel for the cable its just not drilled through the hull, I am using a GP1200 trim nozzle to complete the setup, I am still working on the bracket setup but it will be really simple, more on that later .
While I was at it I swapped in a set of GP800 handlebars, they are already setup for the trim and are a little taller, I will make aluminum spacer plates to allow me to bolt it back up to the stock steering and maintain a factory look. I am definatly going for sleeper mode on this one, nothing flashy just plain fast.

i dont think you will ever break those mounts. Robins mounts are the best out there. if you need anything or help with the conversion. Hit Dave up at Extreem Thorttle

I got this, I just got the ALUMINUM plates in yesterday, I am setting the motor way farther back then Extremethrottles kit allows which is why I am making my own plates. Going to place the engine mounts in a different configuration also.
