    2000 xl1200 pump housing off?

    Having alot of trouble getting pump housing off to change impeller and wear ring. have bolts out and cut the hose covering the shaft. How can I get this out. Is there a puller or should I cut the shaft? Thanks Rick

    If you haven't pulled the ride-plate off go ahead and remove it so you can get a pry-bar between the little tabs if you cant separate the wearing from the transom try some wooden wedges.
