That's an awesome find Skip, I have a cheapie that just doesn't work and I can't actually see what I'm filming until I play-back on return.
Can you plug in your player to show what you're lookin at and then tuck it away?
I just want to make sure I know what the camera is looking at.
    There mounting options are awesome!!

I have exactly the same system as yours including the waterproof case and waterproof LANC.

    Here's the first video I took using a 130degree wide-angle lens:

Need to remove the protective lens cover of the aluminum case and push the camera further inward to expose the cam and eliminate the dark corners on future videos.

Man nice work. Do you think it would be better to do helmet cam or do some sort of mount onto the ski itself. Seems it would be bouncy on ski but I could pull power off the the ski battery.???

It'd be great if you can make footages of both helmet view and ski-mounted view since it's easy in our case. Just apply a few strips of industrial velcro to various locations on your Ultra. You can maybe attach one on the front hood with the bulletcam facing you and the waterproof case inside the front compartment? Or on one side of the ski near the gunwale with the case inside a PWC saddle bag? Then cut, edit and splice it all together using your
    fav movie editor.

Did you get the 2.6mm lens aside from the included 3.6mm? Having a wide-angle view makes the video more viewable on rough and bouncy conditions. The 2.6mm lens would be perfect for ski-mounted application.

Thats one of the best helmet cam vids i've ever seen. Even in the rough water it's still really easy to watch.

My experience in the last couple years with a very similar bullet cam set up as yours, the ski cam is much more stable then a helmet cam.

The helmet cam has a lot of unwanted movement since every head movement swings the camera with it.
To me the ski cam makes a better viewing video... but
I do have a head band bullet cam strap if you want to try it, pm me.
