Just did mine 2 days ago along with a bunch of stuff, no bottom washers as none are needed.
no need to remove the head if you use an air compressor to keep the valves closed.
You will also need to purchase the OEM rocker arm bolts.

    Tips,
gently tap the valve retainers prior to putting the tool on them. (in case it's gripping)
Get yourself a good magnet to remove the valve clips and help you out if one goes somewhere.
Plug the return oil hole in the rear part of head, just in case one drops in there.
Use bent tip long nose pliers to help putting the clips back in.
This is almost surgical work, so don't be to scared when the compressor kick's in!lol, scared me every time!

I'm sure you could use some other tool for it, but the Riva tools works the best, you might try and borrow one?

Speedjunky nailed it ... and there is no way to do this without the Riva tool or something else quite similar. IF you take the head off, there are more options and the Riva tool is not needed (although you will still need a valvespring compressor tool of some sort).

    Yeap, what he said.
They stretch when you torque them down.
