    impellar help

I have pulled the pump and wear ring off of my 2000 gp1200r because the impellar was binding on the stainless steel wear ring. Filed the edge of the impellar and all seems fine now. My question is this impellar on this gpr has a number on it 66v. I have another impellar that I took off another gp1200r that I replaced with a solas concord 13/19, this impellar has a number 68N00 on it and when you compare the two (66v-68N00) there is a definite difference. The blades on the 68N00 are longer and taller than the 66v. Does anyone know which will provide better performance on this stock gpr? What are the performance differences and what pitch are they?

First cutting the prop diameter down is a NO NO. The problem with your prop binding is that your impeller wear ring is starting to seperate from it's stainless prop liner ( corrosion) causing the stainless liner to be pushed in and binding the impeller, In 2001 and new updated prop wear rings the stainless linner is thicker and this stopped that problem. First you need to replace the prop wear ring/ housing for sure first thing , The 66v impeller works ok on a stock gpr or a sloas 13/19 is also good. If you need a good 66v impeller I have a new one for $50.00, Just Private message me if you are intersted, Tommy Jordan
