    Extra Bow-Hull impact protection?

My initial fishing environs are going to be the murky, often stained and variably shallow Rivers and recall seeing a high impact material the white water jet boaters used for keel protection. Anyone familiar with such a product?

As for dark shallow river mmmmmm be carefully I got stuck up a river on a mud bank, sucked up a heap of sand, shells and mud.
Took ages to push off the mud bank, thinking of installing a depth sounder now.

Yeah if your riding in that type of conditions, IMO sucking up rocks/debris would be more of a concern......

A depth sounder is an absolute must and the debris issue is also on the list of mods to do. Planning ahead for the inevitable won't take the sting out of it but better to have some option on hand as best one can. The ongoing drought in the Chattahoochee River basin where the tournament trail will be held (save a venture to the Coosa and maybe the Tennessee) can be treacherous for boaters as four were disabled during the BPS' Big Cat Showdown last Spring. I won't be getting any shallower than will float the craft since I will be solo most all the time but again, no matter how well you plan, stuff will happen.

    Thanks for the linkage!
