    Beer

Curious if GH had any participating Beer Snobs and if you scored a brick: http://121212xii.wordpress.com/
My local outfit sold out in 15 minutes and this may likely be the first and only time it'll make an appearance in the US.

If you got some, tell me what I missed at $85+/- a 6-pack...

Wish I had known about this. Looks like I'll be calling every Total Wine in soFla tomorrow. $85 is nothing. The only Belgian online retailer I've found was getting $20/bottle + international shipping. I'm actually surprised they're doing this The St Sixtus abbey doesn't usually sell to distributors at all because they chose to keep their production very low & only sell by reservation at the abbey. They actually don't even label their bottles so less people find out about their beer. I think the trappist breweries make the best beer in the world, but the Westvleteren 12 really is something special.

Yeah - some of the most expensive brew I've ever seen. To be clear, a friend from MS was on a mission for this particular purchase and I was one of the 4 states it was shipped to - MS was not on the recieving end. I must admit, this particular purchase was a little too high-brow (expensive) for my taste. Obviously, my wife would not have understood this purchase... LOL.

And I can tell you my finders fee would have been one bottle. I did not check it out, but the store clerk said he heard CL had some listings going for $300/6 pack.

You're the man... Had I done that, I would have been soon nominated for the Darwin Award based on my wife seeing the bill... LOL
