Advise on a engine swap.
I got a 05 RXP with hull damage. I also got a 05 GTX hull. I was hoping to get a list of issues that I may have if I decide to swap out the engine to the GTX hull.
Any responses are greatly appreciated!!!

you will need a rxt driveshaft but thats it,Its an awesome swap especially with vts

I did not think I could swap the VTS. No hole in the pump shoe.

Forgot to mention this is a GTX SC. So, it had a 185 in it. We will be replacing it with a 215.
Is drilling out of the shoe and hull for the VTS worth it?

Does the 215 have a different diameter drive shaft than the 185?

Yes it uses a smaller diameter on the impeller side same as NA skis you will need an RXT driveshaft, if you already have the VTS to install in the gtx then yes it's worth it easy mod

To put a shaft RXT in the body GTX 4 tec 185 Hp you need: a shaft and ring of stainless steel with a C clip RXT. Corrugated rubber and graphite ring GTX 4 tec 185 Hp(because the inner hole corrugated rubber RXT more than the internal bore GTX 4 tec 185 Hp and will hang out!) . I work well and do not need to drill or anything!

You will love it. Good swap. Remember to use the 215 Fuel pressure reg. Ofcoarse VTS. You will need to shorten the VTS rod very simple. Just cut it in two and remove about a inch then retap and thred the two ends about 1inch on each side use a long screw cut the head off and screw it togethere with epoxy. Worked perfect.

You all have me inspired here. Cant wait to start. I am assuming I need to take the gauges out of the RXP? The RXP gauges have the VTS display. Will that RXP harness work?
