    Snow machine piston rings?

Ever notice rings for snow mobiles are 2 -3 times cheaper than water craft. Whats the difference? Like the Polaris XC has a set of 81mm rings for $15 and the 81mm for the same piston size in a pwc is $30-55. Are they really different rings or is a marketing thing? Really the question is can I use the XC 81mm rings in a 1050 engine?

If you want to save some money get the WSM rings. They are about 20 bucks a set.

You would have to closely look at the XC rings.
The watercraft 1050 rings are "L" shaped-so there could be a completely different design.

Yeah the wsm rings(RIK) do have the step on them called a dyke ring but still $30+. The second ring I believe is a flat ring.
