    Kehin Carb adjjuster

I am looking for a set of high speed adjusting needle valve/screws for a Polaris SL 1050 with the Kehin carbs Anyone have a set around they can part with? Thanks.

I don't think those carbs had high speed screws

Yeah. I think I agree. Never had Keihin before. I just got the ski and was doing a quick look see and saw there were no high speed adjusters. Thought it odd, but started to look for them and cant find them. So I guess we can close this thread. Now I have to find out how to tune this 1050 with only a low speed adjuster. Maybe it is easier than the Mikuni?

For the life of me I cant understand why these carbs don't have high speed adjusters. Does the high circuit not need adjusting?

Not usually. Unless you are at a much higher elevation, the stock jetting should work ok.

Polaris didn't want "tuners" melting pistons during the warranty period. I think Sharps marine can add HS adjusters.

You could add them, but its not really necessary. They run fine without them.

I agree, no need for a stock ski. I was going to have mine drilled, tapped and bored when I added tripple pipes but decided to buy some Hot seat manifolds and 44mm carbs instead.

Unless you are modding, then the stock jetting works fine. If you are going to mod, then get a set of 44 miks and some manifolds if you can find them (get the manifolds 1st.........)

The miks are easier to deal with and parts are more readily available and cheaper. If you want to keep the kiehins, then we can add high speed adjusters, thumbwheels to the low speed screws, and taperbore the carbs to match the stock airbox.

Guess I'll leave well enough alone. Just give them a rebuild then and see what happens. Thanks.
