Adding an accelerator pump on SL1050 (Keihin carburetor?)

Anyone ever tried to retrofit an acelerator pump on the set of carbs for the sl1050?

I could use primer pump fittings from a primer kit, but would need to find a pump that I could modify. Anyone ever do that or have any ideas?

Just buy a set of carbs that has the pump on them already.

No problem. All I need is the $$$. They are bit pricy. I already have the primer kit. Part of modding skis is doing something out side the box

You would still need the jet block for the carb with the accel pump body, and you would have to add the cam to the linkage. By the time you source those parts, you could probably just pick up a set of used carbs that already have those parts on them. Keep your eyes open on ebay, decent deals could be had there.

Would a sl 900 carb work? PO says it is a 40mm with pump. Were the 900 38 or 40mm?

I think a SL900 has 38mm. PO may be measuring top of carb.

I think the 900 and 1050 carbs were the same size. It should work.

    The SL900 and 96-97 SLTX 1050 used 38mm carbs.
The 97 SL1050 used 40mm carbs that were not used on anything else from Polaris-pretty sure Kawasaki used similar carbs and some with accel pump. The Kawasaki linkages do not match Polaris carb spacing.

Not sure the primer fittings would work-accel pump fittings have a check valve inside -needed to make the pump work.

Looks like too much work. So which models has the 40mm carbs with acelerator pumps? Will the 38mm work or would I see a difference? If I find a set of 40mm would I have to change out the jets.
