Did I miss anything ? Winter mods

Wanted to make sure I have eveything covered before spring comes along. Looking to be high 60's with very strong acceleration.

Ski = 2001 GPR - It had nothing more than a 13/19 and Riva Plate,Tabs,1200 Grate

    This winter I picked up
Angled Riva plate (no skegs) and Stock plate (sometimes I am on Lake Mi where the stock plate should work well).
05 Pump with 14/20 Dynafly and 85mm nozzle (praying I can turn it).
    Decked stock head (150 lbs)
    Jetworks
    Pump Plug Kit
Carbs proffesionally rebuit 110pilot 120main 95g spring and acc pump disabled.
VFIII reeds on the way soon.
Skat Trak- Auto Drop with adj rings.

I dont see a grate mentioned anywhere but this would be the first thing I would have done. Other than that your list looks good.

You should beable to turn the 14/20.

On my stock more 1300r I was able to turn it right after a rebuild, during break in it was pulling 6900 rpms.

But those 14/20s are hit and miss.

Anyways, if you havent heard about Jims new rideplate mod you should check it out. It is called the FF mod, you will gain i believe 1-2 mph over his j plate.

I would consider 3 degree keyway or Advent ignition (84 curve) if strong acceleration is what you after. Made a huge difference for me. Riva 1200 grate too.

120m jet seems a little low to me, maybe 125 to start with being in IL..

Duke, good catch, I forgot about the keyway. Keyway is much cheaper than the Advent.

Haven't had a deto problem with the 84 curve and 93 octane. Jeff is right though, about a $500 diff. Wouldn't exceed 155 psi on the head either.

Maybe flame arrestors would help increse HP to pull the prop better, I have a set of Pro-Tec Moflows for sale right now. My '01 with nearly identical mods pulled 74.5 to 75.5 (once properly set up). Did my own rideplate mods and intake grate mod to a 800 grate so it kept the speed but didn't cavitate out of the hole. With the old 13/19 and a good rideplate I thing 70 would be a given.
