Real world intercooler data from the VTECH logger

    Please no pissing matches here!

If you have real world data using the seadoo onboard intake temp sensor while out on the water (Like what the VTECH data logger does) then could you please post in the following style:

    Ski model:
    Engine mods:
    Other mods:
    Nozzle size:
    INTERCOOLER:

    Intake temp @ rpm steady:
    Intake temp @ idle:
    Water temp:
    Ambient temp:

    Fuel:

    Attach log if you wish.

This information is basically useless unless you are testing the ICers on the same boat,in the same conditions..This is the type of posts/threads that start shit storms because one claims one thing and another claims different.....As you have already...

105 F at full boost would not concern me. Keep in mind that IAT in the fuel equation is really with respect to absolute 0. So we are really talking about 565 degrees F. A rise of 55 degrees F wile compressing the air will loose about 10% air density just from the temp rise. The job of the intercooler is to get as much of the 10% loss back without loosing pressure cooling the air back down.

Has anyone tested the pressure drop across these intercoolers at full boost?

    Have fun tuning

That XS is impressive... Even gets more efficient exchange the longer you hold that trigger down

As long as guys know that every machine is different to the next there is no harm in posting what is found. After all, all these products can be found in the GH store...

    Oops misread that as lambda

I think you may be looking at the lambda falling with time. The IAT rises as the heat soak in the intercooler comes up to equilibrium. In the drag cars, we run salted ice water thru the heat exchangers. We were getting like 75 deg F IATs at like 28 lbs of boost on a 100 degree day. Way cool stuff.

    Have fun tuning.

Yeah thats my mistake... I can't edit my posts on here.

Its amazing how well these WAIC's hold up... For anyone interested here is a snapshot of my log today... I'm down on boost and my water bottle has a leak (Crappy design in the iS holder, or user error? :P )

The entire log is about 40 pages long.
