Smile stock 2008 rxpx 255 impeller choice?

hi, thinking about changing my impeller on my rxpx. the stock one is a bit weak in my opinion. and has a lot of dints in the edges easy. are the after market solas ones stronger? wat size impeller would be best? i heard a 15/22 is suitable for a stock 255? any opinions on what size i should go for? which is the best for stock? which will give performance gains without losing top speed...

    thanks in advance

It will be a good start but u will need to repitch it to sort out ur rpms loss ...

Can that be done yourself or does the shop need to do it? Is there a write up in how to do it?

What would happen if I bought a solas impeller and out it straight in. Just swapped straight over with the stock one?

15/22r is your move get a 4inch air intake fizzle's will be perfect for you. You should see 3-4 mph with both pieces installed. No need to repitch for now with just those add on's

Can I bolt this impeller straight in without doing a air intake? Or do I have to havw an air intake to use this?

Refer to my post in your other thread. The 15/22 is too much pitch. Stock prop is the go.

You can but why?? If you want to just change the prop stay stock. If you want to increase your speed doing some bolt on's then a 15/22r will be your prop of choice.

could some please explain why u would want to repitch ur prop to decrease rpms? wouldnt it be better if your getting more rpms out of it?

    Rev limiter.
The rev limiter is 8200 on a stock 08 PX. You want your rpms to be between 8000 & 8100.
What rpms where you seeing before you damaged your prop?
