Paint or Gel-Coat
Tried searching for a while now and this seems to be a big debate. Im looking at possible painting/gelcoating my 95 XP now that I have a 96 for myself thank to bother in-law for my 96 XP.
The 95 will now be my wifes and Im thinking of painting the bottom black and the top pink for her with black hood and seat.
Now Im thinking Ill be fine with painting the top portion. But what about the bottom. Some places I have read say painting the bottom is fine, other say it must be gel coated. I have seen a lot of ski on this site that have awsome paint jobs and thought you guys would know best.
We dont beach the skis much if at all. So what should I do? If gel-coat is the way to go, how sells a good black gel coat that can be sprayed the best?
Thanks for your input.

Use a 2-pak epoxy or polyester, as apposed to polyurethane or Acrylic Urethane.
Especially as you wont be beaching it much.
Buy the paint from a auto finish suplier.
They will sell you the hardest 2-pak available in the US.
In Australia I would use Epoxy 2-pak
