    PWC Marine Lighting

Even though I won't be doing much in the dark, there is still those times when we put in before sunrise or the unexpected fog. I want to install red whit ande green lighting on the bikewhere appropriate but wanted to get ideas to minimize if not eliminate drilling into the fiberglass.

    ~~any ideas?~~

Not to redirect the thread, while I don't think it's illegal to install lights on a PWC, it is illegal to operate before/after sunrise/sunset. But if I were going to install as you're considering, I might be inclined to put the nav. lights on each mirror. It's not technically a "hull" install and the wiring might be an easy run.

I would also google or search on the forum here for such data via a Canadian install and maybe even New Zealand (not sure on that one). I'm seem to recall it's legal to run at night in either of those countries.

Which ever way you go, how about posting up some pix when you're done. Good luck w/your project,

I just read in Texas it is illegal within 30 min before sunset and 30 min before sunrise or something to that effect. But as I said you never know what the world will bring. I like your idea about the mirror that may work. Do you know of any marine LED brands that are reputable?

Cool. I can tell you that being in SoLA, if I broke down in the early evening, then got it fixed well after dark, I'd still be riding to trying to beat the mosquitoes...

Re: my PM. I'll do some searching and see if I can find what I had mentioned re. the mirrors.

The less intrusive but seemingly ineffective flashlight with traffic cone!! thanks for the ideas. I know jetski fishing is seemingly popular in NZ as most of what I have found is from there. So I will definitely look at those companies to see if the ship to the US.

    Several options here.

    1. Glow sticks, yes indeed. A temporary solution, also can be used as a backup.

    2. Rig them up like JSB on his PWC's.

    3. Magnetic nav lights (could also be glued to your hood):
