    Rapid Cams A Cam Install Questions

    1) I have the manual on how to remove the head. Is there anything I need to be concerned about when replacing the cam since there is a potential to mess it up? The cam can only be in one orientation against the sprocket correct? Should I just take an ass load of high res pictures for reference and match up the new cam in the head to how the old cam is?

    2) How do I rotate the engine to tdc on #3 without kicking over the engine? It likes to fire up immediately. Try to spin the prop I guess?

    3) 2005 RXT with 14/19R +2 currently at 8K RPMS on stock IC, Riva intake, X-SC, 42#s, exhaust and ever conceivable bolt on mod. What prop should I try with my new setup which is: X-SC, stock mani IC, 4" intake, TDR Rear exit 08 style exhaust, exhaust torque plate, Rapid Cams A cam and a P&P head. 15/22?

    Remove the rocker shafts and spark plugs,turn engine to tdc with 17mm socket on supercharger,install cam and crank locking tools,remove cam chain tensioner, then can sprocket bolts(don't drop them in the engine it will ruin your day)remove sprocket and camshaft and reinstall its impossible to screw up with the tools

    The Rapid "A" Cam is a good cam, but expensive. Are you running a stock ecu? You may find yourself on or near the limiter just with the cam change. Be sure to check your AFRs while running this cam at first. I had to add fuel some to be safe at WOT.

    It is a stock ECU. I am in the market for a X model ECU and I expect to bounce the limiter. That's why I was thinking the 15/22 might be a good choice. I'll have the power to spin it off the line and hopefully the power to keep it going to the limiter

    Not trying to be a prude but why not get the fizzle afr gauge,rrfpr,prop charger,ecu and start from there quite honestly the cam option is not what you need to be tinkering with out of the gate. Just My 2 cents 15/20 prop is a good start for you

    I just listed my power mods sir. I have a Aeromotive compact EFI FPR, Innovate MTXL WB and an old aeromotive 340 stealth I can always call upon.

    The only thing i am missing is the ECU which I am trying to hunt down but am currently tight on funds. I'm also waiting on Danny for a pretty fuel rail

    Any 255 to help with my AFRs. Are there limiters different?
