    SOLVED - Prop difference SRX CD 15 22R to a SRX CD 15 21

I am sure I have read this on here but cant find the answer via searching.

06 RXP Fitted with SRX CD 15 21 - All OK.

SRX CD 15 / 22 R Wont fit - When tightening, it jams up and fails to rotate.

I can see the difference when comparing the two - Is there anything that can be done to make it fit?

Look on the inside and make sure it is not one of the stupid fixes from riva and has been machined to a SRZ prop. The prop will be hand engraved with SRZ on the inner hub, This means it has been set back about .075ish or 2mm.
If it is one of these prop this just proves that it was a stupid idea from riva to machine them instead of just keeping them for the correct application and making/ waiting for the propper srz props to be shipped.

Hi and thanks for that. Unfortunately there are no additional markings / hand engraving etc on it.

I have used a profile gauge but still can't see a difference on the mounting points.

What does the R on the end stand on the prop number as one has it and one does not.

Could the 22R one be for a RXPX as I think I read somewhere on GH they were different???

See more pics if they help. Thanks in advance.

The "R" just means its been pitched blocked to check accuracy before shipping.

Did you buy it second hand? It may have been set back? I had to shim mine out a little when it came from an RXP-X to an RXP.

Measure the setback and then you will know if it is a re machined impeller or not!

Setback. The blade tips will be hitting the pump housing. Shim it up so it clears.

Could just be the pic but that looks steeper than 15/22? Are you sure it has not been molested?

Another dimension difference I just noticed.

So shim it out and see?

Not sure if the prop has been tweaked of not. The guy I got it from said it was to big for his ski and it struggled to turn it, so if anything I would have thought he would have tweaked it the other way.

    Thanks for the assistance.

I ground out the housing where the tips hit to keep the shim to a minimum.

Just curious but what ski was it off that could not turn it?
