    15f power issues, tried everything!

    Hey guys,

New to the forums and decided to join up after seeing greenhulk pop up in almost all of my google searches regarding the issue I'm having with my 15f... I recently purchased 2006 15f with 45 hours on clock, has now done 48, all of a sudden the ski would only hit 5k rpm (after running fine all morning and the day before) so took it home, replaced plugs, and found it was running on 3 cylinders, mechanic replaced coils, no luck, so replaced injector on #3, then #4 was bad so replaced this injector too... engine is now running on all 4 and right up too 7.5k rpm when on trailer and not under load... as soon as it gets in water it bogs down and wont get above 40mph and 5k rpm....

    Things that have been changed:
    -new plugs
    -coils
    -leads
    -injectors on #3 and #4
-compression test done and checked out fine
-even replaced the ecu as he had a spare lying around
-ridden without seat to check for exhaust leak, still did the same

thinking possible fuel issue? has a brand new tank of gas in it also so thinking pump or blockage..

** ski has now cut out whilst on water and not wanting to start**

any help would be much appreciated, it is summer down here in New Zealand at the moment!!

An 06 with that low hours probably has a clog in the fuel system.
Run a double dose of fuel Injector cleaner thru it.
I use Lucas fuel injection / upper cylinder treatment in skis that have had old fuel in them.
It takes 15-20 min at wfo for it to start working..
    Hope this helps!!!

turned out to be crap in the fuel... now I'm talking 5 litres of water and silt sitting on the bottom by the pick up, mechanic said he had flushed the tank but when I took it out it still ran terribly... So syphoned out my $120nzd of gas only to find more silt sitting at the bottom (clearly he did not do a very good job) I ripped out the fuel pump and got in the tank with rags cleaning it all out, also had to clean the sock on the pick up, took it out with new clean gas and was hitting 60mph but the ski was only getting too 6250 revs, (had just put ride plate, concord impeller, riva intake and exhaust on before all of this trouble) so was good to see it was hitting 60mph at much lower revs... I will get a new fuel pump, filter, and plugs so that everything is clean and run injector cleaner through it..

My question is will running the injector cleaner bring the revs back up so that its not starving of gas if it still is??

You need to check the fuel pressure, check my troubleshooting guide in the tech tips section.

fuel pressure just over 40psi which I believe is normal? ski runs much better hitting 60mph now, but still only hitting 6000rpm when it was hitting 7.5 before, I do however have a solas concord 14.21 impeller in, would this be making my revs drop that much?

Have you pulled the pump to check the bearings yet?

I'd still run a double dose of Injector cleaner thru the ski.
Do this for 2-3 tanks of fuel to clean out what's been sitting in there...
    Just my .02....

Yup have pump out right now bearings and prop all fine no rubbing or water and spins freely, servicing all moving parts in rear end while I'm at it, would it be worth putting in a spare set of injectors and fuel rail that hasn't had shit gas and water through it??

Injectors would be what was damaged. The rail would probably be fine. Did you swap spark plugs before or after cleaning the tank? Change the fuel filter as well.
