    My PWC Fishing Setup

After much debating and running around trying to make my own out of PVC I ended up purchasing a rack online. I have used it a number of times and even caught 2 bluefish at the same time once. Next project is to mount a fish finder. Anyone got any suggestions on doing this with one of the cheaper fish finders? I dont want to spend $500 on one but $100 sounds ok Happy PWC fishing all.

Go with as much as you can afford to spend, especially if you'll be fishing offshore.

I went with the Humminbird 385 and quickly realized it was to small of a display and went with the 587HD.

Thanks for the advice. I would rather do it right the first time. So you just run the cable through the ski and out the back? Did you have to drill any holes?

Yes, but only for the 'ducer cable. I've seen a few guys that did it without drilling, but I didn't want anything on the deck of the craft so we went out the back. That's my 4-stroke (converted) SUV in the pic, so the ram mount and wiring for the unit itself went in place of where the oil controls were on the port side.

You should. So many hours of fun in the sun. Love it. Just block off the gay spray if you have a yami.
