Getting a 250 to dig into a turn more

My ultra 250 has r&d ride plate , 1' wedge , stock intake grate and the r&d sponsons. I adjusted the sponsons in all 3 settings and recently put factory sponsons back on liking them the most. My dads ultra 260 digs in the turns more and the 300 even more. The sponsons look close to the same. Why do these skis dig harder in the turns. Is my wedge keeping me outta the water to high? How can I get the ski to turn more precise like the newer models? Any suggestions?

Yes the wedge is taking away the ability to turn so sharp. Sponsons down and front will turn the best

Correct. The intent of the 1 degree wedge on the 250 / 260 was to give it a slight increase in top speed (and it did). But the price you pay when trying to turn the Ski, or the loss of pump hookup when the gas tank is 1/2 full or less made the 1 degree wedge essentially "useless" on this Ski. Take it off and toss it into the trash. JB

Thanks guys. To be honest with u I don't think the wedge gave me much in top end. Not enough to justify the handling anyway. Ill test some different combos this spring. Can't wait to ride. Got some warm weather up in the north east here might be an early start
