    What effect

will running gas below 90 oct? The reason for this question is if you are running from one end of the lake and back and there is only 87 oct available what are we to do? Would it be safe to use 87 as long as you just rode at cruising speed and did not try to run at wot?

I don't think I could go from one end of our lake and back with out having to refuel. Roger

    Try these

    http://www.dynotab.com/USA.htm
they say they work, worth a try. I understand a lot of go fast
and exotic car guys use them.

I really don't think 87 or 89 is going to do the ski in.

Tom, I am jealous. You are getting to ride your new ski, mine is setting in my shop where it is warm. I sure will be glad when it warms up. I have got to put about an hour on it and really enjoyed the ride. Roger

Since my ski FX HO has been sitting all winter with a full tank of 89 (yamaha recommends 90) octane I though I might add a bottle of octane booster. It does have stabil in it. Will this cause any harm?

The booster won't do any harm, but depending on how much fuel is in the tank, one bottle probably won't do much good either. You would be better off syphoning the existing fuel out to burn in your car and starting off with a fresh tank full.

Not the answer that I wanted. I do see a problem for riders other than myself. Most of the fuels found on the lake is not 90. I do not know of any on my lake that sells 90 oct.

Now if the fuel pick up will not pick up the last 5 gal of gas in the tank, we are back to a 15 gal. fuel tank. Again not good for trips or long cruising. I guess we all will need to complain to Kawaski. Roger

Mtench, You are saying that the fx ho also recommends the 90 oct. I have several friends that have them and they are running 87 in them. Roger

The dealer told me 90. I never questioned them. Mike
