Looking to purchase FX Sho Cruiser - New vs 2 '09's

    Hi,
First post, but long time rider. I currently have an older XP, and am looking to get a sc ski that cuts through the water as opposed to bouncing across it...

After doing a bunch of research, I think the best ski for performance and durability is the FX Sho. I want the Cruiser seat for comfort.

For around 15 large I can get a new 2013. From all of the browsing, it appears I can get 2 - 2009 FX Sho's with around 50ish hours for the same price. It would be a good match to ride together instead of waiting up for the XP....

    Any feelings either way..

Sounds like you have found out how jet skis depreciate even faster than an automobile does. Go used.

jetskis/PWC in general are really considered luxury toys. Anything like that will depreciate quick as it is not a MUST have for someone to make a living off.

    Go used!

Does anyone have feedback on the servicing they have experienced with a 2009 FX Sho ?

I think same as my 2008. Easy to do just get a service manual. Anything specific you need to know?

I have no problems changing oil, spark plugs ... but after reading some reviews about engine problems, SC problems, I wanted to hear from people that own them if they were experiencing any issues with the 2009 FX Sho or is it a sound Ski ?

You will likely have some SC clutch issues before long (length of time can depend on how you ride it) but it seems like the new style 2013 clutches are holding up very well and are a good fix to the problem.

My supercharger has so far not had an issue just waiting for it. I also have a Riva b1 wheel been on for over 60 hours. So I think it does have a lot to do with how you ride.
Also there are two others on the lake where I am with stock wheels and over 200 hours and no problems.

Having no idea how the person actually drove them, buying used, is there a magic number of hours that usually depicts SC repairs/replacement? Any idea what the average cost to repair/replace the clutches ?
