Mudbug "Hotel" Option
Although it appears they're website has not been updated (http://www.lakeendpark.net/), it appears Lake End Park has completed their brand new cabins and is now taking reservations. I clipped this from this AM's newspaper story:
Lake End additions
Three “lake houses,” fully furnished two-bedroom, two-bath cabins, have been completed and will be available for bookings in February at Lake End Park on Lake Palourde near Morgan City.
The cabins, which can accommodate up to 8, were built by Louisiana Contracting Enterprise of Thibodaux at a cost of $854,985. One cabin has full accessibility for the disabled.
Reservations will be taken via website: http://www.lakeendpark.net.
Lake End Park also has an RV park. Reservations for RV locations in the park can be made through the same website.
As stated, the cabins are brand new and will put you very near the MB action. I would [guess] you could keep your skis tied up at the dock on the lake, but, if not, the park also has a protected launch/marina area 1 minute away. I will say the only caution I'd consider is if the wind is up, you might not be interested in crossing Lake Palourde, but you can always go launch down the road in either Amelia or Stephensville.

How do they look? Might be interested but there are no pictures or reservation option. Maybe I'll call tomorrow.

They look very nice from the outside, I pass by them all the time.
If I can get some time away from work I'll see about going inside them and taking a few pics but I can't make any promises tho

I just called and they don't have any information. They couldn't tell me a price, when they would be available or anything.

Damn, that is really strange - the news paper runs an article that looks like an ad, then the actual business can't help you. That's pretty bass-ackwards. If you're interested, I'd check back in w/them sometime early Feb. I'm not pushing the place, I just know that they're brand new and close to water - unless the price is out of whack, that can't be all bad.
