    98 xp coil options

Got friend piecing together an old 1998 xp. He's rebuilt motor, but the electrical box has water in and looks corroded. He's cleaning it up, but I suspect it"ll need an coil. We have an old 951 out of a GTX. Wondering if we changed the magneto fly wheel and used the duel coil if that would work or would mpem not work with it?

You would need to change the entire electical system to use dual coils. Dual coil systems use TPS and a different timing pickup, just to name a few of the differences, so the mpem won't work with it.
