    Cool Rxpx 260 versus rxp x 255

Hi guys, first time posting here...i would appreciate help with the following..

Been using for some years rxpx 255 models, last one 2009 with riva stage 1 kit.
For me this ski was amazing..gave me superb 0 to 60 launch, great handing, and a great top speed about 74 mph.

I had a good offer and sold it. Now i am about to buy the new rxpx 260.
So heres the big question...for all you guys that did the same switch...does the new model with the new engine and hull is worth the investment?

I kinda feel from pictures ( never ride or seen one live ) that this is a heavier ski that will have a lower top speed and a feel of riding a bigger boat in the water...am i wrong? Looks is amazing on the other hand.

The rxpx 260 here in Chile retails for 25.000 usd so its damn expensive!! well all skis are expensive here...
Hope i dont go wrong with the switch...

    Thanks.

    Rodrigo.

I have both. The Rxpx 260 is well worth it. It is a much better rough water ski and you can make hard turns at a much higher rate of speed. With basic mods (ecu reflash is a must) you can expect around 73-74 mph.

If left stock, the 260 is slower than the 255 off the bottom end, but once moving the hull makes such a difference you will blow by a stock 255...

But my concern is if it does feel as explosive and vivid as the 255..

P-X 260 is the way!! Don't take a wrong way.

RXP-X 260 have more low cost to win best top speeds. Very good riding and the most beautiful PWC in the World!!

If you whan to change OEM settings, you spend less money to make it go fast. Old 255models are very good, but you whant more parts to buy to have same results.

But... your mechanic certainly will missing the old RXP-X model

Like I said, stock for stock the new PX is slower till about 20mph, it just doesnt have that bottom end hit like the old ones did...HOWEVER, the new PX will run away on top end because the hull is SO much better..I love my 12 PX!!!!!
