Smile RXP Intercooler - which is better ?

Hi-folks ! I will make my rxp a little bit faster. I have heared that you can install a aftermarket intercooler. I had found one from Riva and an other from Rotax Racing. Can you say somthing about which is better and what`s the prices of these ? Thank you

I have a brand new Riva one for sale. According to Jerry the Riva one is the best.

    Welcome to the forum!

According to my testing the Riva IC showed a 1 PSI improvement in boost over the Rotax Racing.

Be sure to run a water strainer in the water line going to any intercooler

If you want a cheaper alternative for an intercooler

So is there anyway to remove the stock IC from the boat? Or will it have to come out with the intake manifold? I would jump on this but I havent seen an exploded view of the engine yet

You remove the stock IC with any of the external intercoolers on the market. The kits include a block off plug that covers up the hole in the intake manifold where the stock IC used to be.

The stock unit will slide out, just have to remove it by reaching through the storage compartment and pulling out...

Do you have to move the inlet manifold on a 2005 or will it just pull out??

    Steved,
I would try removing it without loosening the manifold. IF you cant get it out, then loosen it. Mine came straight out....
