Tip of the day: Installing nose cone onto aftermarket Sea-Doo impeller

I have seen many times people here on the forum having issues with a nose cone, regardless of brand coming unscrewed and riding up the shaft.

If you use this simple trick to install your nose cone you will never have a problem again. Use this same procedure for Solas, Speedfreeks and Skat-Trak nose cones.

Stand your impeller tool up in a vice and drop the nose cone down onto it.

Take a large flat head screwdriver and a hammer and knick the threads in three different spots around the perimeter of the nose cone.

Then take some red Loc Tite and apply it generously to the threads.

Tighten up the nose cone on the impeller and you are good to go

I just used red locktite and let it dry for a week before getting wet and has yet to let go after 2 years.
