Does GelCoat crack?
I have 4 or 5 spyder cracks just outside of where the jetpump bolts into the pump mount. They don't appear to be structual but I can feel them with my finger.

Worked with gel coat a little in the past and also fix some on my ski (hit a rock). Gel coat when mixed with the hardener becomes very hard. It does not like stress. Even if substantial pressure is put in a small area, you can get these small spider like cracks in the gel coat. But these are just in the gel coat and can't be buffed.

Gel coat will always have stress fractures ... Fiberglass flexes as gel coat will not ...
Wave jumping is the worst for it ...
Don't stress ....
