4tec coil split but still works?
One of my coils developed a split in it (and was tough to remove)
Once i had it removed, i pealed the split open and it appears its just an outer plastic coating and a metal shield (which rusts)
underneath it appears to still be a fully sealed unit, has anyone used one like this? any side affects?

I just used some heat shrink tube and ran it for 2 yrs that way with no problems.

With the metal part..I cleaned it up.. Get the tube that fits over it snug, you'll have to kinda force it on then apply the heat.

U can use any thing that Will stop it from arching or shorting to the block ...
I have used the silver tape that the air con guys use to tape up their duct work , works a treat ...
