Arrow Removing Cowl Panels on GPR

After searching for about 20 minutes on here, I decided to just post a new thread for my stupidity.

I am trying to remove my side cowls off my 04 GP1300R - I removed the 2 lower side allen bolts, the bar under the glove box with bolts, the screws inside there too, and the 4 screws under the windscreen. It's loose, but cannot remove them. I looked inside and there are rivet looking things. Are these holding them on? Or are these for the air ducts only? I need to paint the cowls, as well as replace the large black center console part due to it being cracked. Any how-to pics or vids somewhere? It's probably really simple, I'm just afraid to damage my cowls. :-/

Also, do I need all the internal duct work in there? Seems like such a cluster F!

    Thanks in advance!

So the side cowls are only held on by 5 bolts each side. 2 on the bottom, 2 under the hood, and the bolt under the glove box. the seems like you got those. so now you need to pull and pull pretty hard, especially if it's the first time you've taken them off. HOWEVER, becareful, the clips do break from time to time. Work you way around, and you should be able to pop each clip out.

I thought I replied in the other thread last time you inquired, but who knows. LOL

My team owner has vinyl sign side biz. [email protected]
WAY cheaper than Exotic Signs! Came out AWESOME too! He did ALL of my custom decals on my ski.

As to this thread, I did the quick yank thing, and busted 4 of the 6 retainer clip areas on the back of the cowls. UGH! It's ok, I found replacement pieces cheap and they are in the mail today.
I super glued mine back on, but will prolly pastic weld them and use them as spares or something. Maybe I will hone my painting skills on them.
It almost seems safer to remove the cowls with the center console section (bars too) then remove from underside.
