    300x Supercharger Belt

I'm at roughly 130 hours now and thinking about replacing the belt.

It looks old, but as far as I can see not damaged. The black has faded and turned brown'ish (due to the surface rust on the tensioner).

The rust appeared over the weekend, I kid you not, while on holiday the massive rain we had and the humidity. I had to leave the ski outside for 3 days of crazy rain. Should I clean it up with some emery paper or leave it (it looks worse than it is, it's a stain rather than full-on rust)?

Also, when we've replaced timing belts in the race car, we typically replace the tensioner. It's not cheap, so I don't want to have to replace it unless I really need to.

    Here is a pic anyway.

    Allot rust in that hull.

Leave the belt it should last you a couple hundred hours. But I'd clean up any scale off the pulley. The tensioner does not need to be replaced unless the shock is stuck. And it's cheap anyways if u do 70$ or so.

Also zip tie your grey generator wire up and out of the way looks like its been rubbing on the coupler.

What you see as rust is the water splashing up from yesterday (it washes off). The tensioner is the only thing with rust on it (I know, the picture makes it look bad, but it's not, it's just a little dirty). The grey cable is cable tied to the water hose going to the cooler. The picture makes it look close but it's not (it was close from factory though).

I can see if the ski was left out in humid weather, like we had on the weekend, and not "indoors" the ski would be trashed so quick. I can't believe what 3 days of rain (and humidity) did.

I might just order a belt, just in case, but leave the rest.

    Thanks.

Ok yea from the pics does not look so good when your not banging the limiter all day for hrs straight the belt will last along time. Make sure to lube the pivot on the tensioner.

ok, think of the above picture as the "before" and these as the after (I don't want you guys thinking I'm riding a rusty bucket of bolts). Notice the colour of the belt though.

Check out this old girl (130 hours). She's like brand new

Tommy, where do you get a pulley kit for $30? When I look on the OE section of Greenhulk it's around $170.

    Cheers.
