    PWC lift questions

So I'll be leaving my FZS on the lake much of the time this summer and am looking for a good lift. The lift will be in behind the 1st L side extension in my dock which has a pontoon lift in front of it so it's fairly well protected from wind/waves though it is a medium sized oval-ish lake and it will be in about 3ft of water. Whats the recommendation on a cantilevered vs vertical lift and what's everyone's opinions on whether I need to have a canopy over it (I will have the OEM cover on it as well)? Unfortunately, while we have 250ft of sandy beach shoreline, about 20 ft up from the shore we have a 2ft rock retaining wall which means that putting it in and taking it out with the 4wheeler every weekend is unworkable.

    Thanks.

If you can afford it, a dandy dock or connect a port is a good option too.

I have had several different kinds of lifts but the kind you just drive on, like the Jet Dock is my favorite.

Thanks for the answers but I won't be considering a drive on, just looking for opinions on crank lifts vertical vs cantilevered and whether or not a canopy is necessary or worth the extra expense.

I have a vertical type and it works well. Built a cover with a wood frame and steel roofing that extends out 6 feet past the seawall. If you have room for something like that, I can dig up a picture to post. No experience with the cantilevered kind.
