    Seadoo RXT Custom Rack....

I saw alot of options online as far as the pvc rack and the already built aluminum racks but didnt like any of them all that much and thought they were WAY overpriced so I made this custom for my ski. Holds a 50qt marine cooler or 3 5 gallon gas cans with room to spare. (total weight about 20 lbs)

Also installed a Lowrance Elite 5 -DSI Chartplotter/Fishfinder into the glove box top and epoxied the transducer in the hull. Runs off of a seperate sealed battery mounted on top of the ski battery. (Very Secure)

Rack Cost : $65 parts ( Metal, leg caps and rod holder caps, 2 ratchet tie downs), $80 Gray Powder Coat done at Beach Cities Powder Coat. Total $145 for a rack that will last longer than the ski ...LOL

Lowrance Elite-5 DSI...on sale at Cabelas for $298 out the door shipped to my front door...(12 hour sale)

Overall I am fully satisfied with how it all came out.

Good looking rack. Wish I had a set up were I could weld the stuff together on Aluminum but don't. Looks pretty strong. Getting on and off of the rear might be a problem if I wer thrown off but that is another story. Let me know how it works in the ocean. BG

its steel not aluminum but powder coated and hollow tubing so it only weighs about 20 lbs...i dive alot off the ski and can easily get back on the since theres a step up on the back

Looks good......One thing that sticks out though is how small the contact (area) feet are ......theres going to be a lot of weight and a lot pounding ...hate to see one poke through......

its got the hydro turf and rubber feet that are thick on the ends...the steel is also sanded down with the powder coat to eliminate a sharp edge to cut thru the rubber feet

Would like to hear or see the floor board after yu test it with 3 loaded gas can on some choppy water. Looks like you have a ratchet strap holding the back down. Just wonder how it would be looking after one of our 600 mile trips. BG

I didn't see you specify, what type of metal did you use? Turned out great!
