Looks funny with the clutch pedal and gear shift sticking out of the floor.

You would get some funny looks at the lake when you start rowing through the gears like a car.

dont forget the engine noise changing...

on a side note, would this technically make for a more "eco" engine?

ex: need to tow a skier, put it in first, lots of torque, less speed,
then you can speed up, while decreasing rpm as you go up the gears...

so lets say, 4rth gear would give you the best top speed,
but 5th would be less fast but more economic..

    ex: 4rth gear= 37mph
5th= 32. but the rpm would be 4K rpm instead of 6...

which beats a seadoo being at 8K rpm...

This is just crazy, why did he use the transmission? LOL! you can change gears but no matter how fast you can turn the water you are still limited by how much can fit through the pump. That's why boats don't use transmissions! I want to type so much more but the bottom line transmissions are pointless in boats, lol.

The transmission will allow the builder to pick the gearing that allows the motor to run at its intended rpm without changing props. 6 gears = 6 chances of not having to replace the impeller
