Fxho 2010 cruiser drive train noise

Got a strange drivetrain noise on 2010 fxho, is ok at idle but soon as the power goes on it feels harsh for a while then goes away again, pulled pump and shaft out and started it and seemed ok. Could it be the spline on the prob shaft?? i greased it before putting back in but still the same, any ideas

first check ur engine mounts incase they are stuffed or broken , if not it proberly ur coupler has worn out and has to much play or its not alined properly , did u check the bearings in the pump when you pulled the pump out ??? could be that

wat happen with mine was (in the water) it would have a vibration around 3000 to 5000 rpm and out of the water it would make like a bearing has gone noise at idle right where the coupler is , mine had like about 4mm play in the coupler , that, with a little wear in the spline sounds bad but its not as bad as it sounds , in the water at idle because there is drag on the impeller it dosent happen ,,, as soon as i replaced the coupler and re alined the motor with the coupler then the vibration whent away , can still here a little noise from the spline on the sharft out of water but i recon thats normal with a ski of that age

p.s how did u check the coupler , did u pull the ecu and electrical department out and the cover off and see if any play like in my pics
