Thread: Which fuel ?

    Which fuel ?

From the Melbourne area, is there a preferred fuel to use out of the locals? Bp ultimate , shell vpower, caltex vortex, 711 and united 100? Haven't tried united 100 has anyone used it?

Not saying caltex is bad, just I have never seen great dyno results when i am tuning cars so I figure that good enough reason for not to use it in my skies

Be good to retain the specs from dyno tunes using different fuels.

Shell V Power - Made around 10kW at the wheels more on the race car from memory. It let me run a few more degrees of timing (if my memory serves me right but maybe I'm over exaggerating).

I only use Caltex if I'm desperate (in the car only, never the ski).

130 hours on the 300x, nothing but V-Power (98 RON).

if you have an ultra i wouldnt run anything less than bp ultimate its race and dyno proven by many, i can tell you first hand united 100 cost me two engines, stay well clear, next on my list would be caltex and shell.
