the compression ratio 185 HP vs 215 hp

What do you think, if you leave the pistons 185 hp and build 255 + hp?
Pistons 185 may have a higher compression ratio than the 215?

    Same compression

You mean to say that you can raise capacity without changing the pistons?

My understanding is that 185 pistons are cast and 215/255 pistons are forged. 185 pistons will not handle the increase in power. But compression ratio is the same. Do not use 185 pistons if you are building a motor and want it to last a long time.

I feel I have to somewhat chime in on this subject. I dont know what the HP is on my wife's 2006 185 HP GTX is, but for almost four years now it's been running over 70 MPH at 8100 RPM with the stock cast pistons. The mods are 215 HP ECU --215 HP flywheel gear--stock X charger--Riva RXP rear air kit--15/19 prop---85 MM nozzle--50 lb injectors and not one issue.
