    650 sx 28mm carb vs 38mm carb

I´m currently running a 91 hull with a 89 engine ,PSJ exhaust ,28mm keihin carb and fresly bored the cylinders to a 0.50 oversize.
I can get my hands on a rebuild 38mm keihin carb ,wil it be the effort to buy the carb compared to the recent 28mm carb ?

you will need a manifold to match it or open up your 89 manifold

Thanks ,it will come with a matching manifold only no flame-arrestor but that will be the same as from the 28mm.
Will the 38mm give me more hole-shot ore more top-end?

I'm trying to remember from back in my 650SX days, so I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure I went from 38 to 44 and that was a big difference. I put a Westcoast exhaust on at that time too and that released some more power too.

    Cheers, Mal.

yep go to a 44 sbn mikuni for best results. if you are getting the 38 for cheap go with it.

factory b pipe or coffmans pipe works best IMO

$100.- for the 38 with manifold , 44 sbn mikuni are the best i know but they need a different manifold .
I can´t get my hands on a mikuni in the Netherlands so i have to buy and ship it from the States ,that would be a expensive carb.
