How To: Impeller / Wear Ring Removal and Install. Sea Doo 2005 GTX SC
This is my first post / contributing back to the Forum. I want to thank everyone on here for their posts. I would never have attempted to work on my pwc if it wasn't for all the knowledge posted here. I made a series of videos, 5 Parts and posted them to youtube on removal and installing a new impeller and wear ring on my 2005 Sea Doo GTX SC.
It maybe long and sometimes boring to most that are generally mechanically inclined, so I recommend it for the Newbie (maybe a little older and forgetful) who would feel intimated trying this for the first time. I hope someone will find it helpful. Enjoy!

Thanks for the videos! I will admit though, I only clicked on this post to get a better look at your avatar

Putting the assembly in the freezer to easily get the wear ring out is classic, I've used the freezer for a hard drive that had crashed, and was able to recover info off the drive, it's amazing what freezing will do.

Thanks for taking the time to document the procedure. I'm sure it made for a longer job but now I have a much better understanding of how the job is to be done.
On a side note, does anyone know if this is the same way the Mercury Jet pumps go together?
