Hello zacc300, How much trouble was it to install the 4 degree keyway? I have an 08 GP1300 with Riva I currently and get 68 GPS.

Not that hard ,i took the motor out so i could clean the inside of the hull properly . It took longer to get the exhaust off than take the motor out . Saying that it was well worth it .

Are you running an open or gutted air box...with a steady stream of cooler crisper air you should get even more acceleration and throttle response with the lighter and quicker opening and closing pedals on the VF3s...but there pricey...and you will need a custom spacer plate and gaskets...WFO here on GH sells the kit I believe...

Its the most exspensive mod with the least amount of gain. Better on big bore motors and fully ported and on those its only a 100rpm gain. Snappier throttle response too thats about it.

I think they're worth it. There's only so much you can do to a 2 stroke, and that's one key ingredient if you want the most from the 1300 engine especially if you have the keyway, race filter, shaved head.

V force reeds are worth the money if you plan on doing more and more mods. in comparison it would be like putting better valve springs and 3 angle valve job on your heads. something your not going to notice that much until you turn it wide open. less of a chance of compression blowing back through the reeds.

Yes...they help especially when you are on the "mod" road that you're on now. Quicker throttle response helps you in more ways than one imo. Varied results on actual rpm gains, but they do help as others have mentioned. Even on a non-ported motor, they will help you.
