    Shipping large parts

Just curious how guys are shipping large parts they buy/sell on the site these days - I got a possible sale on a GPR seat and the shipping cost is friggin' crazy high. Any thoughts or suggestions? Or is the answer just to hope for local buyers on big items?Or, anybody going through Mid-Missouri on their way to NY any time soon??

Years ago I had a car bumper shipped to me via Greyhound Bus line. I had to pick it up at their terminal a few miles from my house. Forget price but it had to be reasonable or I wouldn't have bought it. Hope that helps.

I had a steel jetski stand (tuf stand) shipped Greyhound. It was very reasonable but again, pickup at depot was no problem.

I just ran the numbers - $45 on Greyhound versus about $49 for FedEx home delivery.

IF I really wanted it gone and had no other bites I'd consider splitting the shipping costs with the buyer to get it gone!

It cost me around 60 bucks to ship a seat with UPS. I just considered it a cost of what I was buying.
