    Sponsons

Hey guys, other than handling improvements, do sponsons make a difference in overall speed ? I'm looking at getting a set of the Riva Pro Series Sponsons. Does anybody have any experience with these ?

sponsons wont add speed but they will scrub speed if they are lowered to the point they create drag when you are on plane.skip the riva sponsons they are garbage, worx sponsons are alright,r&d sponsons are good, and jd sponsons are discontinued but are also very good if you can find a set someone wants to get rid of.i run jd closed course sponsons they hook like hell.

I've read on here that the TBM and MACC Racing sponsons are good. Never tired them myself.

I have the TBM sponsons. They do hook great but from what I know of any of the aftermarket sponsons you get a low speed lean. This is on at least the sho. I will be going back to stock if anybody's interested I will be selling my TBM set. I am not racing and do not like the lean.

The low speed lean happens on the VXR as well with aftermarket sponsons

The low speed lean is where the craft will lean to one side or the other during a slow take off or low speed cruising. It will only ride flat again when the ride plate is what the craft is riding on. The factory sponsons stick out wider and almost act as stabilizers.
