    R&D ECU Reprogamming / Flashing Time GPR

    Does any one know how long it takes for R&D to process and reprogram your ECU for a GPR. Basically the time when they recieve it until the time they send it back, Thanks.

    Usually about 2-3 days once they get it. It all depends how busy they are. I have had them send one back in 24 hours from when they got it.

    Also did you label your ECU with your name, address and stuff like that?

    Yes. Phone number as well. I always send love notes with as much info as I can when I send ecus to them. I put the info and ecu in a nice baggy so there is less chance of a mixup

    took 4 days for mine turnaround ..I believe R&D closed on Frid...bought the reflash thru GH and Jerry gave me an order # that I put on on piece of paper or form if I recall.

    Let R&D know what level of reflash depending on what you have on your ski ..R1(stock to slightly modified like milled head for compression) R2 (ported) R3 (porting and running very high compression 165-180 psi aviation gas recommended)

    Your probably do an R1..

    If you did 3-4 * keyway on the flywheel you have to LET THEM KNOW...there gonna advance the timing thru the ECU but if you have advance spark timing already they don't have to...
    Did you speak to Glenn or someone at R&D already...

    I plan on ordering the reflash through GH (unless you recommend somewhere else). I will be doing a R1 since my compression is stock and i do not plan on raising it. There is no motor work done and no key installed just hull modifications, Air filter, IR holeshot kit and a FF exhaust as you saw in my previous thread regarding the impeller size. I have not spoken to anyone from R&D yet. Should I? Should i see what they recommend and what not?

    I believe you get 10% off with GH order..I did...did u get that digital tach...call and ask Glenn over there if that 14/20 dyno is right ..with just raised compression VF3 reeds and more air was turning 7100+ @70-72mph with a 14/20 if I remember...

    i did see that you do get 10% which is a nice chunk off the price. I do have a tiny tach which I installed on it last month. Hoping it will warm up alittle on Long Island to get it in the water to get some readings on the ski. I might just drop them a call and see what they say. I spoke with carl at Island Racing and he said it was a hit or miss with the 14/20 props on motors on gprs that havent been modified but with my set up it might work. Figured i pick one up and worse comes to worse i would have it depitched to a 13/19. You can tell me if thats a dumb idea or not lol
