    what should I do.....1200/1300

I have a 2001 gp1200r with a bad middle piston and cylinder. It has 74hrs on the motor. I have a gp1300r motor available to me for 2500 dollars. Should I spend money on a cylinder jug(265 ebay) and repair( possibly will need a head cover to),or buy the 1300 and drop it in? I dont know what to do though on rejetting the carbs or going to fuel injected, keep in mind I dont do much mechanic work on these motors.J

I would get the engine you have running first. You could sell it later if its running. First thing to do is find the cause of the bad cylinder in the first place.
