    1997 SL1050 Intake Manifold Gaskets????

I just took off my intake manifold and found no gaskets in between the cases, the reeds, and the intake manifold, and I also can't seem to find any on SBT, are there supposed to be gaskets here? If so, any idea where I can find some?

Are there rubber seals in the faces of the intake reed flanges?

the domestic 700/900/1050 have a rubber o-ring that is built into the reed cage to seal.

we DO have aftermarket intake / reed gaskets here on hand, if you want to add some for safety.

Well that makes more sense then, I now see the black rubber on both side of the reeds. My next question is this; the reed stuffers are hollow, and not solid like the ones on my old sl650, and it appears that they have warped slightly in the middles of them and that they are actually slightly narrower than the opening on the intake manifold. Is there something I can do to fix this? Is there a different OEM stuffer that works better that will fit my sl1050? Also, is it worth my time to polish the insides of the intake manifolds?

I use some 3 bond on my reed cages when I install them. When doing my leak down tests, I could never get them to 100% seal up with just the rubber gasket thats on the cages.
