Question R&D Intake Grate with 2011 RXT 260

Hi, I have a 2011 Seadoo RXT 260 with over 200 hours. I just replaced the stock prop which stripped with a Solas 15/20 pitch prop. Its the prop Riva uses for their Stage 1 Kit. I also have the Riva SCOM installed. My ski is completely stock in every other way. I recently read a great write up by JT comparing the Worx grate and the R&D on his RXT-X 260. That prompted me to go with the R&D. My questions are, is the 15/20 pitch of the Solas impeller a good combo with the R&D grate? Also, it was mentioned that the R&D does stick out a little and needs to be milled to be flush with the ride plate. How much milling and where would I get that done?

The 15/20 will be just fine. Install the R&D and see if it hangs down any below the ride plate, if it does simply file it down an equal amount in the front and rear, take your time!
